Microsoft MSDN Event Philadelphia, January 30, 2007
I just attended the msdn event held at philadelphia. It was quite informative, but........... Of late all these msdn events has moved from its primary goal of discussing tech or showing codes on how to do's or discussing some new ways to tackle development problems to advertisement gigs. I was apalled to see a SetFocus person in one of my previous MSDN event talk for more than 30 minutes. Even this time since it was a launch event per se, so my expectations were pretty low, but deep down i was expecting some code to show up. And then this freaking demo of WPF, i still havent tested it personally, so cant comment much. All i know, managers dont have enough time to code or summarize results. They wont waste their time developing, no matter how user friendly the tools have become. It will still all boil down to the developer to provide all the information for the managers. But thankfully, i got Office 2007, i was also hoping for Windows Vista Ultimate edition, i wish i had my hands on that.
Carousel control has been around for a while, mainly with people using apple machines, they must have noticed it. I also found a link to an exicting
Carousel control development code from ibm. Recently, it has been incorporated by Microsoft, and it would be fun to improve the UI of smart client applications or web applications.
